3 Tips To Find The Perfect Height For Your Omni Table
What do you mean I need to specify the height for my new adjusting table?
This is a question that pops up a lot when we are helping chiropractors purchase new Omni Tables. The height of your table is usually something that you have taken for granted or become accustomed to over the years. The question remains is it truly the best height for you and the longevity of your career? Having an adjusting table that is the proper height can make a big difference in how long you are able to see full patient loads each day. Aren't we always telling our patients about the importance of correct ergonomic office equipment? Having the right height for your adjusting table is just as important as an office worker having the right height chair and desk.
Standard Omni StationaryTable height is 18", 20", 22", or 24". An Omni Elevation Table the starting height is 20" but you can increase the height as needed up to 32" (the Elevation Omni Table also qualifies for the ADA tax credit but that is a blog for another day)
We have 3 easy ways to help you pick the best height for your table
1. If you go home at the end of the day saying my body feels great after adjusting 75 patients than by all means get the same height of table. You will measure your table height by measuring from the floor to the top of the cushions. See that was easy enough.
2. If you don't currently have an adjusting table then put your work shoes on and measure the the length of your knee to the floor and that is typically the height of the table you will want.
3. If you finish up after seeing your patient load and think my back is tired then try adjusting the height of your table. Omni Tables come with leveling feet on them so you can adjust the height of the table by 1/2"-1" or take them off completely to lower the table. Adjust your table by 1/2" for a day and see how you feel then order your table accordingly.
